Conundrum

I hate housework. Really. I'm not sugar coating this one at all. It is the bane of my existence and the number 1 reason we will probably never move from our condo. But here's the kicker, I'm pretty sure it's solely my responsibility to care for our home. Since Mike is pretty much the only one who makes a steady wage I sincerely don't begrudge taking on this responsibility, but when it comes times to actually get some soap on my hands (instead of reading, watching TV, knitting, scrapbooking, surfing, etc.), I find no enjoyment in it whatsoever. There are some, and you know who you are, that get great satisfaction from cleaning and I truly envy you! If only Windex could give me such a feeling of elation. Somehow wiping away other peoples toothpaste just sickens and disgusts me. So to my list of things to accomplish I will add vacuuming.

I hear you! There's just something so...so...FUTILE in cleaning something that will be messed up again. So why bother in the first place? There are sooooo many more productive things to do with your time.

...as I slink away to clean as well...begrudgingly...

I went on cleaning strike for a while in the hope that somebody else would do it. All that accomplished was making my job harder when I actually had to clean. Bleh.
